[ There was a new paper pinned to the bulletin board. The handwriting was very nice and cursive too. ]

Idle hands make fretful minds and who among us really wants to sit still? [Not him, that's for sure. He is losing his mind not having something to do.]

I am offering up my services to anyone who may be seeking help, from the small requests to the large ones. I'm fast; I'm strong; I can fly as well. Do you need something lifted or a book from a high shelf? I'll help with perfect precision.

[ Species?? He was thrown off by that for a moment. Many different types of people have appeared in this library so it made sense, but still! ]

Thank you. It just doesn't feel right to sit idly by and do nothing while I'm here, as I'm sure you understand.

As for the flight, is there anything you're most interested in?

[It's just... Erich stands out. Being the local giant, three times tall as a 'normal' person, it's difficult for him not to be curious of all those different 'little people'. He doesn't mean anything negative using the word 'species' mind you.]

I can relate to the feeling. I used to have quite the intense life, for one reason or another, and merely wandering around this place without any schedule or goal is... something I'm not quite used to.

It's mere curiosity, I swear. How do you propel your flight? Do you have wings? Are you manipulating the aether around you?

I can show you if you'd like. Though if you're as tall as you're hinting, we might need to attempt going to the garden space. No wings though, and the way it works is a little more confusion I think.

And if we're heading to the garden... this may also help us gather further info. All items that change in size are inside the library and definitely not alive. Furniture, books... but there is flora and fauna outside, I wonder if anything will change in that sense.

I hadn't actually considered something like that. I figured the library changing made sense with whatever weird magic this place must have, but now I wonder how the "outside" will react too...

We are mostly organic lifeforms from what I've seen and the world seems to adapt to us, I wonder if fellow organic lifeforms will have some form of influence on our situation.

I've seen gardens before, there were arboreal enclosures where I worked, and I can say most plants I've seen so far were what I would consider the 'correct size'... it will be interesting to document if anything changes.

Then it looks like we both found our first subject to keep from being "idle". With the way you've spoken, it's very doubtful that I'm near your height so it'll possibly bring an interesting set of data to our investigations. I only ask that you try out the door to the garden first. It's... really strange to think what is supposed to be an inanimate object has feelings, but I truly believe something is at play and that door hardly wants to open to the garden for me.

As a scholar, I do look forward this. As for my height... I've been roughly twice or thrice the size of any other person I've met in this place. If you are what we can call the 'average height' of most residents, then I will probably tower over you.

Mh. I travel with an inanimate object by my side, a mammet, yet I can't even imagine thinking 'oh, yes, he has no feelings'. Who knows how many things we still have to discover and understand about the world around us. That being said... I will open the door. Should we meet in front of it, perhaps?

I feel like it might be strange for me to feel a little... excited? I've never really met any person who had above average height before so I'm really curious now.

That sounds like as good of a spot as any.

For what it's worth I'm rather curious about people's height myself. I've never been extraordinarily tall between my people, yet here I am a giant... I try to avoid most communal areas not to cause issues for others but it's been a challenge.

I will see you there. You will see me with my little assistant, a mammet that should more or less be your size- please do not mind him too much.

[And that's it. He packs a few books and stuts outside with the company of his wind up themis, basically a large living doll the size of a normal person who has silver hair and is clad in white robes. He... sits by the door, waiting for the world to shape itself differently. Hopefully the door won't shrink too much for him to pass through]
