an aid to laundry troubles
[At some handwave-y time shortly after the closing of the Story, a note in an workmanlike cursive hand goes up on the bulletin board:]
If you need a change of clothing, I can make simple tunics and trousers that won't disappear.
Find me:
[A simple doodle of Illarion's face follows: Pointy ears, long hair, blindfold (or veil), malar stripes. Enough to go on when most of the Library is human.
It is signed below the doodle with an eye-and-feather symbol. No name.]
IC UPDATE:
[A few hours after the initial post goes up, an additional sheet of paper is appended to it:]
Payment is not necessary but if you're one of those who can make or find permanent items, you can bring one of the following:
- Fabric
- Thread or gut
- Head/round knife
- Awl
- Leathering needle
- Raising hammer
- Pliers
- Portable anvil
- Hides or leather
NO glitter. We have plenty.

The supplies here are limited, but I can definitely adjust things for different sizes if needed - and given the variety of heights here, I think that probably will be.

[He can't pull things out of books, but he's heard that's a thing others might be able to do.]
Suspect we're meant to shift for ourselves outside the basics, given they're willing to give us materials and tools but not anything finished.
[Or that could be the Library's antipathy to anything finished or perfect being kept inside its walls. Either or.]
Is it more than just the primarchs that are completely oversized?

Past that I can probably manage to build from the ground up. It’d be enough to maintain things, at least if they’re something I can understand. Something like those big lumbering suits of armor some people have are out of my skill range.
I think you. may be correct, however - we seem to be on our own for many things.
And yes. There is someone from my star (more or less, it is complicated) who is about twice my height.

Received. Will find out if there's anyone out there who can get those for you.
How are you on materials?
[He hasn't seen anything yet in the Library that could be repurposed into raw material for a blacksmith or leatherworker the same way he could steal the sheets.]
Good thing that we're on our own, too.
I'm going to need more sheets.

I think it's likely a good thing as well. I do know people who can pull things from the books but their quality is somewhat lacking. Honey only tastes half as sweet as it should be, for example.

Might just be a matter of practice. It took me long enough to figure out the trick of finishing things.
Half-good leather and cloth are enough for everyday wear, at least, even if I wouldn't rate them for armor.

Either way I can at least keep stuff covered for people.

[That's all Illarion sends for a long while -- maybe an hour or two.
Then an addendum appears:]
Sanguinius can get us materials.

I'll be glad to make whatever you need out of whatever we can cobble together.

[There's something a little ragged about his handwriting now. Weird.]
Let me know when you find the door.

I just got it.
[And indeed, he walks into the crafting room, tucking his journal away.]
