[ A neatly typed sheet of paper. ]
This is X. Mrs. Harker has already suggested that we share information concerning our stay here and the changes that we've noticed. I have suggested that once we have gathered enough information we can hold a meeting to discuss our findings and figure out a few solutions to some of the issues we're facing.
[ Like the randomness of food, or the rather strange lack of patterns for the Stacks. ]
But first, due to the nature of where I'm from, I have what you can call an understanding of extraordinary abilities granted through outside forces. I've noticed a change in my own capabilities, and I would like to know if others have noticed their own changes as well.
You don't have to tell us what those changes are. All I want to know if any one else has noticed that they have gained a new talent that allows more control inside the Library.

And X sounds so very amused. ]
Thank you for that Trust in me. You may want to test what you can and can't do. Our abilities might have mutated to fit our surroundings after all.

I see you're proving your point. You are exhausting, do you know that?
[ Give him another moment because he's checking to make sure X isn't actually in the next room over or something. ]
What are you suggesting we prepare for? Combat?
no subject
So I've heard. Pretty sure that I make the HAC tear up their plans every hour.
Yes. Just because we are editing books doesn't mean all books will be safe for us.
no subject
[ What the hell is he supposed to call whoever brought them here? ]
So is this a gut instinct you're sharing? Or did you witness something that made you want to share? Other than what you mentioned about your powers.

[ It would be weird to never have an ending, right? ]
You can say that. Or you can also say that I'm paranoid considering every thing leading up to this point.
Still, we need to figure out what abilities we suddenly have since usually that doesn't change unless our Trust has changed.
no subject
I don't think I've really gained any new abilities, but give me a bit and I can test out my regular ones. I do have to ask, why are you helping to spearhead this? Doesn't this count as work to you?
no subject
I'm anti-overtime not anti-work. I have my alarm set for eight hours and since this is just four hours into that time, I'm going to work. And since we do not have manuals over what to expect while we Edit materials, I thought that we need to first come up with that.
That being said in a half hour it will be lunch. Have you looked into the kitchenette situation?
no subject
When you call it a "situation," it makes me feel alarmed. Isn't it just a normal kitchenette? Minus the always having different basic ingredients in it depending on when you look?
And it seems to be stocWait, are you just going to drop everything after the 8 hours is up?

How many people know how to cook here? Or eat human food? I do know that there's no energy drinks.
Well. Yes. I always do.
no subject
Don't even mention the phrase energy drinks. I'm going through caffeine withdrawal and I hate it.
[ And learning the hard way how it feels to just... not be caffeinated. At least the tea is... okay, caffeine-wise. ]
Remind me not to rely on you 8 hours and 15 minutes after a disaster, geeze.
Anyway, to report back, I can still do my normal abilities. You know the ones. In the Commission's and agencies' documentation of me. I think it's just on a smaller scale. And, by the way, it was difficult to test them without damaging anything.

I'm thinking of finding a way to make a French press. At least that will make coffee of the proper strength.
Please, I'm not that heartless. Have you ever seen me back off from a fight or a rescue?
That cycling room does give us a empty space for testing things out as well, and I can make the room switch if I need to.
no subject
To be honest, I see more of you on digital billboards than I do in person. But no, I guess I can't say I've seen you do that.
And you know, for as much of an ordinary salaryman as you might appear to be, the rest of us aren't exactly at your level. Some of us are just normal people. Talking through log books, being able to get the room you actually want -- how? I understand I'm asking that when the log book itself is abnormal, but my point still stands.
no subject
There are a lot of those, some of the companies don't even pay me for using my hero image.
[ Because of course they don't it wasn't like he had an agency to contact or anything. ]
The log book just did it automatically, but the room seems to be nice when I knock on the door, say where I want to go and then it opens up to it.
no subject
That sucks. Not that I want to defend hero agencies or advertising companies, but kind of hard to pay you when no one really knows who you are.
[ Wreck still doesn't know his real name! Although, X did seem to at least try and tell him before the library's.. acoustics... interfered. ]
Does it really do that for you? Every single time?
no subject
[ He still got some income, mainly from the Brand Spokesman gig. ]
Yeah, it does. I suppose it's just a side effect due to my usual mo.
no subject
As for your uncanny ability to do anything you want, I'm seething in envy over here. I mean, not seriously, but I haven't been as lucky as you when it comes to navigating this place.
no subject
[ It sounds boring he sounds a little bored by it maybe it's because the work environment? ]
You want to do what I can do? I'm pretty stifled right now; it's pretty great!
no subject
[ Yeah, he basically wasted an entire page to write that. ]
You were right under their noses the whole time! I thought Mr. Zac was competent!
no subject
In some things he is pretty good, but it's not like he looks at his own employees all the time.
no subject
Well obviously that will be the next ability X will torture Wreck with!!!]Or ever. It's FOMO. How does FOMO miss something like the number 1 ranked hero working for them?
I have absolutely no idea how you got away with it for so long! Does FOMO not have Trust requirements?
[ Wreck assumes they would have either seen a low Trust if X doesn't need it, or a ridiculously high Trust if they ever needed to take a look at it recently and X might not have been able to do anything about it. Seriously, how did this happen?! ]
no subject
[ But of course. X is made to troll all the other heroes after all. ]Honestly no one really pays me any attention. I'm just another person in the company, though I might sometimes snap out if things are getting awkward.
Oh yeah, they do. But my natural Trust levels aren't that high.
no subject
And--wait, did X just say "snap out?" He just leaves? Well... checks out. Knowing he won't get a straight answer out of X, Wreck dares to ask: ]
What does your snap even do?
