[Return] [Voice]

[There's a vaguely British-sounding voice emitting from the journals, and those who recognize Nara'a will note it's not his usual calm tone.]

Would anyone, anyone like to explain what in the hells just happened? 'Oh, the town or the spaceship or the book closing sound?' All of it.

[He takes a breath, lets it out.]

Right. Everyone back here? All appendages accounted for?

I am here. Erich.

I don't know what happened, honestly, still I look at the whole event as some weird 'collective unconscious' event? It's something we did for specimens that needed special enrichment back 'home' and it may make sense considering we spent quite some time wandering a rather limitless yet 'limited' space in here.

'All is library', you know...

We know we weren't in our bodies, at least I wasn't and my beloved mammet was some kind of keychain during that 'thing'. We know some of us couldn't recall themselves properly. We also know we could meet each other in there. The question now is: how much of that was real? It could probably be interesting to have a proper gathering to discuss the matter, right?

My only, possibly silly, comment is: I miss being everyone's size.

I was mentally present, I think. I wonder if it would be appropriate start keeping personal journals, just in case, but so far I think I kept my own self here. And, while it took me quite some time to accept that, being able to perceive aether (or interact with it) isn't everything- we still know each other and we are forming bonds with others. Let that be our guiding light.

We will figure this place out, my friend. We just have to find the right path to do so.

I am aware. In case I can provide refreshment. As long as I keep things within my field of view? I am able to summon items from books. You should try this p i z z a thing.

I feel the same. Your presence warmed my heart.

I also want to spend time with you, Nara'a. You and Themis taught me what it is to care about a friend, as long as you don't mind things being awfully large around you I'd love to be by your side

Ah! You are? How fascinating! The one I had was cooked dough covered in tomato sauce, melted cheese and basil leaves. Delightful. As for the summoning goes, in my case I just... reach inside? It's surprisingly instinctive, but so far it requires me to at least visualize what I want and to keep it more or less in my field of view for it not disappearing.

Did the library grant you any power?

Somehow I'm not surprised to hear that.

That sounds fantastic! You put a lot of work into this, didn't you? I mean, your skills seem more focused on a specific goal than my very random 'pick this from there' which came almost out of nowhere. And I wish I could just... keep things. I can enjoy the foodI summon, but it has little to no permanence.

Of course. Sadly my people, as you probably know by now, aren't quite keen on 'crafting' so that's new for me. Even books are somewhat a rarity compared to the more efficient memory and message storing crystals...

Mh? Oh... I actually retained some instinctive memories of whatever I was when I attacked you, so I can actually use chains for self defense? Metallic ones. They're not very efficient, though-

[Remember his 'true' form using them as a whip? That's what he can do.]

A wooden staff, perhaps? It shouldn't require too much work, I suspect.

I would certainly love to see them. I did see you handle some crystals in Pandamonium, but I never assumed they were anything more than memory ones.

Oh, I can imagine. And I can at least still conjure my own. As for the staff- I am not entirely sure. A butterfly, perhaps? I'm not too fond of them, but they're always one of the first creatures that comes to my mind.

[Fortunately enough, he didn't know about his mom and her... special form. Even if some imprinting may have been passed down during the experiments Erich had to endure as a child.]

A chain motif would be too much, perhaps, what would you suggest?

I look forward it.

Heh. I am not really sure why 'butterflies' was my first option, though, I guess we all have irrational thoughts of some sort now and then. And..

[There is a long pause there.]

It looks beautiful. Are you sure it wouldn't be an issue? I can't even begin to imagine how to make anything like that without the use of magicks...

[If only his world had 'crafting'.]

I enjoy the idea of a wooden sphere. But, please, don't waste too much effort on it. it feels awfully complicated.

I... yes. I would love that. I actually wanted to try something with you if you ever have time to join me in the kitchen. I can summon ingredients, tyou can make things permanent in this world, right? I wonder if what is cooked with items I summon can stay or not...

I have seen far more complex 'armors' gifted to concepts in Pandamonium, but to imagine any of them made with hands? My mind strains itself in trying to imagine it.

Oh. that is a beauty. I have no use for armors but I know Themis would have loved to see it. Robes or not, he was a passionate fighter and he would understand defensive clothing better, but still I can tell it's a beauty.

Ah! then would you like to join me for 'research', my friend'? I'm certain I can find plenty of books that do mention ingredients!

I hope he got to see plenty of wonderful things. He was friends with the convocation's wanderer, I'm sure there was a lot to learn there.

[He just knows the Zodiark plan will fail by now... and it already hurts. But, hey, life will continue, right? And it's not like he can change things.]

Should we meet near the kitchens? My inner researcher is currently screaming 'science' in the back of my mind... not that I'd know the first thing about cooking. Everything we got was aetherically sourced in Pandaemonium, it was considered far too risky to get anything from the 'outside'.

Hopefully I will be able to hear more about your arts as long as we are here together. Who knows, maybe I will learn something myself.

[It will be. Talking about Lahabrea's fate may be equally unpleasant...]

I will wait for you there, my friend.

[He and his mammet take little time to reach the kitchen. Little 'Themis' is holding a book about 'delicious adventures' and Erich is carrying the rest, it's science time baby!!!!]
