[Surprisingly quickly after the arrival of the recommended reading, a typed rant appears on the bulletin board. It is not signed.]

This Twilight book is fucking terrible and here is why:

• It's boring
  
• It's a stupid romance
  
• Uses way to much of that thing where like, things are emphasised a lot. Hyperbolic, or whatever
  
• Story structure is shit, most of it is about the stupid boring romance with the stupid boring characters, and then hostiles appear out of nowhere without even one scene ominously hinting about their existence
  
• Planetary Security in this place sucks
  
• The stupid fucking love interest Edward also sucks and is clearly hostile
  
• If Bella has to have a stupid love interested she should pick someone less likely to murder her
  
• He admits to wanting to eat her
  
• He breaks and enters into her sleeping quarters, as well as other clear stalking behaviours
  
• Seriously he keeps going on about how much he wants to eat Bella, what the fuck
  
• Why is she not concerned about this, does she want to fucking die
  
• Bella is also terrible. And boring.
  
• (Also Edward liking her smell is disgusting, that's just gross)
  
• The hostiles that arrived at the end distracted from the stupid romance plot, so I guess that sucked slightly less than the rest of the book, but it was still badly written and fucking stupid

In conclusion: it sucks.

Romantic crap already isn't for me but trashy romantic crap? EW. And I'm a big food guy BUT- eating people? Seems a bit too much even for me. Who even thinks your BF wanting to munch you is hot?

Don't read the book.

It's not worth it.

[And it's just going to sidestep that entire comment about how apparently this book thinks romantic partners wanting to eat you was 'hot'. That wasn't actually an insight that had occurred to SecUnit. Mainly because it avoided thinking about the sorts of things humans thought was 'hot'. And it certainly didn't want to start talking about that now.]

I'm just saying I'm not even at the parts with this Bella or Edward guys.
Read a few lines with this Anastasia girl and it was already annoying.

[Oh. looks like he got the 'wrong' book. And he's a teen. At least he seems rather uninterested in actually reading anything so... he should be safe?]

Not sure when the 'twilight' theme will be relevant but if I get a book about cannibals I want something horror themed with high stakes that would make for a cool and super amazing action movie.

Question: does anything happen if I just refuse to read it?

What? There's no character called Anastasia. Also Bella's the main character. She's in all the stupid parts.

Probably nothing? Maybe ask someone who didn't do the reading last time.

I read a whole page and Anastasia is the protagonist. Anastasia Steel or something? Maybe we've been given different books? I don't know, reading isn't for me, I don't get why I've been taken to a library of all weird places I've seen since I was taken from my hometown.

Fifty shades of grey? Isn't that the book everyone got? I wasn't really paying attention. Back has someone named something Grey, I think? I can't find where I put the goddarn thing right now to check.

Ah, I won't. I mean. Had a few interesting adventures before. Plain weird sounds good for now. We're just here to read books and 'finish' them, right? Do you think they have a comics section?

Last time had us all being taken away to a planet, with some people becoming characters in the Story. So not just reading books, no.

They have graphic novels. None of them are finished.
