(no subject)

[This is written in a fairly neat handwriting, in a language that may look roughly similar to Arabic to those familiar with it. The paper on the bulletin board has a small note on top, with a lot of space on the rest of the page for people to fill in as needed.]

Since we're all from different worlds and cultures I think there are a few things we should probably get sorted out as a group. First thing should probably be how to address each other. Go ahead and write your name/title/what you want to be called, your gender identifier if that's important to you, and pronouns to use for you.

[Hm. Hisako uses her brush to write an elegant little proclamation, and then flicks a couple droplets of ink atop because she thinks that looks less stuffy.]

This humble scribe is known as Hisako Godsup.

Let it be known that 'Godsup' is a deed-name of the first generation. As such it is incorrect when used without a personal name. If you must append an honorific, append it to both or to 'Hisako'. 'Lady Hisako' or similar is flattering, but know this: mine is the pedigree and legitimacy of a harbor gull, and I am a woman of no repute.

[She knows she could claim noble blood, who would know! but it's a vaguely repellent idea.]

If your intention is to be more removed and informal 'the Stormwing', 'the Immortal', or 'that bird' work as well.

Pedigree's overrated anyways! Folk that get all up about it always make my teeth itch.

I admit to taking pride in having been a wharf brat. It imposed many limitations I yet regret, but I would not be me if born to silk and silver.

Oi, some of my best mates growin' up were wharf brats! The silver spoon sort were too hoity-toity to come down and hang out with us- their loss, it was brills.

[all right she'll drop the formal act, it's only ever fun for so long.]

We'd only ever see those types from afar, riding wagons and getting on and off ships. Usually with handkerchiefs over their noses and starched-up servants leading them like sheep. Not sure which ones were noble and which just had rich parents though, it's been a while.
