[This is written in a fairly neat handwriting, in a language that may look roughly similar to Arabic to those familiar with it. The paper on the bulletin board has a small note on top, with a lot of space on the rest of the page for people to fill in as needed.]

Since we're all from different worlds and cultures I think there are a few things we should probably get sorted out as a group. First thing should probably be how to address each other. Go ahead and write your name/title/what you want to be called, your gender identifier if that's important to you, and pronouns to use for you.

I've never found gender to be necessary or even useful, but most of the other people I've known insist on it.

Fair enough and I've met plenty of other people who agree with you, but I've also met a lot of people - and personally am someone - who takes comfort, pride, and joy in being consciously and visibly what we are. I can't say it's for everyone, but the sure knowledge that I have the pure heart of a maiden beating in my chest is - well, I'm glad of that knowledge.

I should have made myself clearer. I don't give a tinker's damn about any else - be yourself, find joy in it, and so forth.

In my home, I am used to a certain set of assumptions that are necessary for social expediency, and should that be what's needed here, then so be it.

I apologize for the assumption you needed that clarified, then? I took no offense, and hope I didn't offend you.

None taken.

Perhaps I will revise my thoughts into a vague and inaccurate metaphor. My own experience is that it is like visiting a dining club that insists on the wearing of ties. Now, I know that when I eat dinner, I do not require a tie, but it seems to be quite rude not to endure some tacky bit of silk for the sake of expediency.

While I'm stoked to break out the cravats of a certain color in my collection. I think we understand each other perfectly.
